Brian Hugh at the Sedgefield 2021

Brian Hugh at the Sedgefield 2021

Brian Hugh is recent Champion National Hunt Jockey, who’s season ended quite early due to the emergence of the coronavirus. But, he’s back on track creating much excitement at the Sedgefield racers 2021. Sedgefield is one of the UKs reputable and friendliest racecourses located at the Durham countryside. There are around over 20 fixtures offered by the Sedgefield Racecourse yearly.

Brian Hugh decided to race at Sedgefield missing out on the Cheltenham Festival, and won his head-to-head with rival Richard Johnson in order to move head lead to the Jockeys championship race to 18.

One of the dreadful highlights of the Sedgefield race was when Brian Hugh was literally barged over mid-race by a loose horse. Thankfully, both the horse and Hugh were doing great. Hugh was knocked over pretty badly by the loose horse, but again thankfully nobody was hurt in the incident.

It became worse for Hugh when the Dobals McCain-trained runner sent Brian crashing right to the turf. Just about when Hugh was getting to his feet, Miss Smarty pants charged towards him and knocked him to the turf which was pretty devastating to watch. Fortunately, Hugh was back to his feet as he wanted to loose his top jockey crown to Harry Skeleton. It was incredible how Hugh was back to normal after that, and displays his determination and commitment to this amazing sport. It also showed fans how one must never give up.

Hugh lost his champion Jockey crown to rival Skelton which was another devastating thing for him to experience at Sedgefield after getting knocked by a loose horse.

Brian Hugh was pretty grateful to ride with rival Richard Johnson. Unfortunately, both Hugh and Johnson were out of luck when Richie McLercon and the back-to-from Rock on Fruity surprisingly sprang a 20-1 with a four and three quarter length victory for Ben Haslma.

This is when Hugh pulled up Samtu leading throughout a marathon trip.
